Many Opportunities to Invest in Clean Energy in New York Today, most business-savvy people are aware that clean energy technologies present great investment and business growth opportunities. Many of them might not be aware that New York State hosts an abundance of clean energy companies, in various stages of development, that provide attractive investment opportunities. NYSERDA has a suite of programs designed to improve chances for success as a clean energy business moves through various stages of formation and product development. Early Stage Assistance: Assistance through incubators and business networks to provide support to early stage companies, entrepreneurs, and investors. Funds for Business Start-Ups: Funding is available through competitive solicitations to support new product development, demonstrations, environmental impact assessments, and mitigation techniques of power generation technologies/components. [PON 1200] Former PON was 1118. Business Growth & Development: NYSERDA has $5 million available for two rounds of this competitive solicitation, which is intended to help clean energy companies achieve success, grow, and develop new markets through expanding their businesses, attracting new companies to New York, etc. Due dates are February 4, 2008 and August 4, 2008 . Business Expansion: NYSERDA has a $10 million competitive program to develop or expand manufacturing facilities that produce clean energy technologies. Proposals are continuously accepted and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. [PON 1176]
